Teach us your game
Your child teaches, the grown-ups are the beginners

Your child picks their favorite board or card game and teaches the whole family the rules. The parents play as beginners and ask lots of questions.
You’ll need
- A board or card game your child knows well
How to do it together
- 1
Let your child choose the game and set it up.
- 2
They explain the rules while you listen like you've never seen it before.
- 3
Ask real beginner questions: Wait, what happens if I land here?
- 4
Play a full round with your child as the teacher and the rules expert.
- 5
Afterwards, ask them: what's your best tip for winning?
Make it easier
With younger kids, help them explain one rule at a time, and play a shorter version.
Make it harder
Older kids can teach a complex game, or invent a house rule and explain why it's better.
Why it’s worth it
Kids are always the ones being taught. Turning the tables gives them confidence, and you get to see how they think.
With Weekadoo
One idea like this every day, made for your kids
Every Sunday, a plan with a 10-minute idea for each child on weeknights and a family one for the weekend, picked for their ages and what they love.
