Roll the move dice
Silly moves until you're out of breath

Give a silly movement to each number on a die, then take turns rolling and doing it together until you're both out of breath. Your child invents number six.
You’ll need
- One die (or numbers 1 to 6 on paper scraps)
How to do it together
- 1
Give each number a move: 1 hop like a frog, 2 spin, 3 chicken dance, 4 jumping jacks, 5 crab walk.
- 2
Let your child invent move number six.
- 3
Take turns rolling, and do the move together, five times each.
- 4
Speed it up as you go.
- 5
End with a slow move, like a sleepy sloth, to calm down.
Safety: Dice are small: keep them away from children under 4, or use a big foam die.
Make it easier
Use three moves only, and big gestures.
Make it harder
Roll two dice and add the moves together.
Why it’s worth it
It gets the wiggles out in ten minutes, and your child sees you be silly on command.
