Family card game tournament
One deck, one month, one champion

Play a card game you already have, like Uno or Go Fish, and keep a scoreboard on the fridge for the whole month. Somebody gets crowned at the end.
You’ll need
- A deck of cards or a card game you own
- Paper and a magnet for the scoreboard
How to do it together
- 1
Pick one card game everyone can play.
- 2
Make a scoreboard together with everyone's name and stick it on the fridge.
- 3
Play a few rounds whenever you have 15 minutes: after dinner, before bed, on Sunday morning.
- 4
The winner of each round gets a tally on the board.
- 5
At the end of the month, crown the champion with a paper crown and let them pick next month's game.
Make it easier
For 5-year-olds, play Go Fish or Memory with the cards face up at first.
Make it harder
Older kids can learn a new game like Rummy or Spades and teach it to everyone else.
Why it’s worth it
A month-long scoreboard turns a card game into a family story. The fridge becomes the place everyone checks.
